So blessed that we found them
Arden Courts is amazing. My mom has been there now a year and a half and the staff had become like friends. They take such good care of my mom and we are so glad we chose them. Arden Courts was not only the right choice based on our visits, but they were also opened to lock in the monthly rates. My mother is safe and secure and secure and loves the outdoor space.

Love working with Kensington
As a care provider, I have been to many facilities. Aden Courts Kensington us truly one of the best! The nurses and caregivers are so caring and have been here for many years. I am so confident in the care that my patients receive. They truly care about their patients and only want what's best for them.

Amazing
I visit someone at Arden courts and find the staff so nice and welcoming. I feel we are so lucky to have Arden courts. They are truly a leader in dementia care. My friend lives to walk and we love the outdoor courtyards.

Love working with the staff at arden ! This is the place for memory care .[name removed] in the business office is a gem, I always see the same caregivers so turnover is low. The courtyard space allows residents to frey walm outside and enjoy the weather

Great Environment
This was a wonderful experience. The residents were a joy to interact with and the employees were very nice and helpful. Family involvement was also very noticeable, which was heartwarming to see. It's a beautiful building with a large courtyard.

To say this was one of the toughest times for my family would be an understatement.
We toured multiple communities and were turned away because of my grandmas behaviors. When we found Arden we knew this was the place. First impressions were very modest. No giant chandelier or extensive list of model rooms. Arden keeps things simple and focus on their residents. We can be happier with the qualify of care she has received during her time there and we look for her to be able to age as grateful as possible with a great team supporting her needs. Thank you so much to the team at Arden courts!

We are home!
After bringing my mother up from a different state, we tried several different communities and found that Arden courts of Kensington was the best fit for my mother and our family. The staff is exceptional, activities are exceptional, and all over area, courtyard, and rooms are well careful and groomed I wouldn’t hesitate to let anybody know that this is a perfect place for their family.

Mom is doing much better here than in her previous situation
Mom moved to Arden Courts in Mar 2023 from an assisted living in NC. The difference in her is dramatic. Previously, she was anxious and frightened. Here, she is relaxed and cheerful. She has friends, a new boyfriend, and her oldest daughter close by.
The staff is warm and capable. They took good care of her when she contracted covid last year. The food is tasty. She is getting good stimulation with activities. We were surprised by how lovely her recent artwork project was.
The last thing to mention is the relative lack of staff turnover. In her previous situation, it seemed like the facility was understaffed and changing all the time. This is particularly upsetting for dementia patients for whom consistency is important. As much as anything else, this contributes to the quality of care.

The Best of a Tough Situation
We visited many memory care facilities before deciding on Arden Courts in Kensington, MD. For us, it's the smiles we receive from everyone from the lovely ladies at the front desk to the nursing staff to the care givers when we visit. They all seem to love our beautiful mother and she loves them back. Of course, none of us wanted this for our mom, but we know she is safe and well taken care of . . .which is really all we can hope for. We're so thankful for the staff at Arden Courts, Kensington.

Wonderful memory care residence!
Both of my parents reside at Arden Court. It has been a blessing being able to keep them safe and together. Our family toured several facilities in the search for help when keeping them at home was no longer feasible. Arden court was welcoming and beautiful with plenty of space for them to walk around and be active without worrying about their safety. The staff and caregivers are attentive and kind and treat my parents like family.

Putting him in a long-term care facility was probably the most difficult decision I have ever had to make. I had no idea how much time he might have left, but what I did know was that I wanted it to be as good as possible, and so picking the right place for him was important. I visited a number of facilities, but when I came to Arden Courts at Kensington I knew I had found the the right place. It was attractive, it was spacious, it looked and felt like home.
There was a variety of activities all day and into the evening, and he was free to wander about inside and out. In warm weather there was a gazebo and picnic tables where he and I sometimes had had lunch, and when the director learned he had been an active gardener she welcomed him to start one there. He soon had a circle of friends, most retired professionals as he was, and they enjoyed spending time together.
But maybe even more important was a staff that knew how to care for Alzheimer's patients with warmth and grace and managed to know the names of every resident at Arden Courts and the members of their families.
Once, after he had been there a month or so he took me for a particular walk he liked to take. "Isn't this a lovely place," he said excitedly, "and the people here are so nice."
I knew then I had made the right choice.

Top Rating for Arden Courts Kensington
I fell in love with Arden Courts Kensington (ACK) the first time I visited it. The appearance on the outside was attractive. I was immediately given brochures and taken on a tour by the Executive Director. An available private room was well-appointed and included a private bathroom. The accessible outside courts have a lovely gazebo.
My wife was recovering from surgery for a broken ankle and using a wheel chair. At ACK, she made rapid progress thanks to superior physical therapy. Now she can walk without assistance. The staff check her blood pressure and dispense medications every day. An MD visits once a week and a Nurse Practitioner is available on some other days. They all do a good job caring for her safety and hygiene and keep her healthy.
My wife is happy. There are lots of daily activities as well as parties on holidays. The food is good, and we tour the facility after breakfast. The staff and residents are delighted to greet her: they love to see her big smile.

Recommending Arden Courts of Kensington
The community did well since everything was clean, my loved one, their room and no odors anywhere. Everyone seemed to be well taken care of. Disappointed that the person who I met when looking at the facility was no longer there after a while. She was a wonderful & caring individual & easy to speak with. I would totally recommend it to others and had no complaints. Thank you for your help in finding this facility.

Overall a good community
The activities have been pretty good, our loved one is getting therapy and different exercises. However they are not to thrilled about the meals. The quality of the meals in general are not very good or appetizing.
