The staff made the move in process very easy. Our contacts were available whenever we needed assistance. For instance, they recommended a notary for us and served as witnesses when we had to have some legal forms signed. The maintenance person also installed the TV (not easy!) and a helped with few other things as well. The facility is lovely - we think it looks more like a sophisticated hotel. It's in an urban area, so if you want lots of hiking trails, it's probably not the best choice. But the area around the facility has been beautifully landscaped, with a fountain and nice outdoor seating areas as well. My loved one's view is wonderful - right out on the fountain with plants and greenery around. They offer many activities for the residents in many categories- exercise, movies, live music. What we hadn't seen at other facilities is that the Modena also capitalizes on the unique experience and capabilities of their residents (former judges, professors, etc) who give lectures and lead discussions on interesting current or historical events. I think that was a key reason we chose Modena for my loved one. My loved one really enjoys living here. She says that the food is excellent and the people are very friendly. It's not inexpensive, but there's a lot of value for the money. We're very happy that my loved one lives here! We would definitely recommend Modena Reserve at Kensington to others!
