The biggest drawback that I have seen is a delay in responding to the paging by residents in case of their needs. This, too has been a side effect of the shortage of staff. The food, for the most part is very good, staff is in the process of learning, new culinary techniques and being educated on more nutritional and more flavorful food options. For residents who are able to walk, there are various activities and organized outings. Unfortunately, my mother is not able to take advantage of these options. Overall, it seems to be a good value for money. And the staff at The Lodge appear to honestly care for the health and wellbeing of the residents.
