Every resident there is happy and loves the staff. As the caregiver, my issues are supposed to be done twice a week have been times when they haven’t done it once a week. Rooms are supposed to be cleaned once a week bed linens changed, it took three weeks at one point. I think this is a staffing issue. The director just left so hopefully this is a short term problem when you send an email to the appropriate person it does get handled but right now as a caregiver I have to stay on top of it. There were a few days where she said no one checked on her. The transition to medication management has been rocky due to staffing changes/shortages. Omnicare is handling the medication and they are currently giving her too high of a dosage of blood pressure medication because they are not allowed to cut a pill in half and the medication does not come in the 10mg dosage. I was the one who discovered this and am trying to work it out with Mom's external physician. My mother swears the new cook is putting sugar in everything, I ate with her one evening and while I felt the menu was a bit odd (stew beef with home fries, peppers and onions) I did not have any issue with the taste.
