Cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is… So much for the residents to do, and places to go within the facility- it feels like a community. My uncle is rarely in his room, he keeps busy all day with the various activities. The place is beautiful, clean and very inviting. The staff and facility Doctor are involved with all aspect of care. Highly recommend for your family member, or visit to see all that is offered. So glad we “stumbled” upon the facility- a total God answering prayer thing :)

My loved one is currently a resident at The Auberge at Aspen Park. Communication with the family is good. The housekeeping is also good. I would recommend this facility to others. Especially for Parkinson's patients because their in house doctor is very good with Parkinson's patients.

The Auberge at Aspen Park
There are some really difficult patients at the Auberge. My Dad was not one of those but he was situated in their midst. I felt he needed to be in another area of the facility. I never felt there were enough care givers around. The Auberge is a large facility so helpers are literally spread very thin. It was not a very intimate/homey place for my Dad. The distance to the dining room was way too far and consequently confusing for my Dad to get there. The food however was always good and I enjoyed meals with my Dad many times. The staff, (though not enough of them), did the best they could to look after him but he was always alone somewhere in the facility when I visited. I had to track him down on several occasions. I think we could have found a better fit for him and at a better price. We were paying for skilled nursing and an on staff Dr. that didn't really seam to make any difference.

Please don’t put your loved one here
This facility has to be the absolute worst in the Salt Lake valley. The air conditioner doesn’t work and the heat is spotty. The head nurse [name removed] doesn’t care about the patients at all. Ever since Silverado left as management the building has gone to heck! The administration has tried to help us all but corporate is terrible! Please don’t put your loved one here

What is happening to a once top-notch facility?
Have had a loved one at Auberge for over a year. The quality of care has steadily declined and the turnover in staff (and often non-replacement) has been astounding. The CNA’s are overworked but mostly wonderful. Some of the nurses are good with the patients. The doctor on staff is great. The facility itself is tired and often hot.

Review for The Auberge at Aspen Park
It is truly a special place. Many people have been there for years, and everyone knows the patients names, including their pets as well. They are free to rome, which creates a nice calmness, and the staff are happy to help whoever. For example, the cook has helped patients find their rooms, etc. The doctor is phenomenal, and is on sight 5 times a week.

Auberge Experience
The meals were good. They have a good chef. With COVID still around, I understand they feel this protocols need to stay in place but it's so cumbersome and frankly annoying but we complied for safety of all. Just need more staff around. My loved one was in a difficult area of the facility and he was alone A LOT! Nobody had the time to sit for a few minutes and just have a little conversation. You won't be able to build any trust if people don't get familiar with you and I worried about some patient interactions. I felt my Dad had minimal attention to develop rapport with anyone. Those that were there were kind to us and him when they were around. They also had a terrible time keeping track of patient's personal things but I understand this can be a problem at at facility especially when they are tasked with laundry. A lot of my loved ones things (slippers for example) we never saw again. Also, This facility is a skilled nursing care situation and they have more difficult and needy patients/guests. As such, it is a little more generic in feel. I think it may not have been the ideal arrangement for my loved one, but for the most part, he was well cared for... and most residents seem to do fine. Also, because there is a physician and nurses on staff full time, the cost is quite high with the care levels added.

I have nothing good to say. An expensive, awful experience in which my husband got very poor medical care. Wound care awful. He lost another toe. Plus they prevent outside providers saying they are a hospital. But when patients looking for reimbursement from long term care, they say they are assisted living but do Not follow any of those rules. A dangerous place good for walking zombies only. I am aware from some hospice folks also that the place has lost its reputation with the change in ownership.

The Auberge at Aspen Park is an amazing place! 10/10. The superior place from all places which I have seen. They even have a swimming pool etc. They have activities for every hour and all day long, movie theater with popcorn etc. Absolutely superb place. But the price is accordingly only for deep pockets.

Visit and stay a while before choosing this facility
The manager and Doctor are not personable or warm. I feel like it is run for them to most the most money off each patient. The caregivers and nurses are great. They need more help per patient. Found my dad in a [Removed] state a few times and wet through a few time. I would never use this facility again. The building also smells of urine.

Great rehab facility!
My husband was living here in the Silverado when he had to have a partial hip replacement. After needing a partial hip replacement, they had my husband staying in the rehabilitation facility for about 2 months and then they moved him back into assisted living. It was nice how they took care of him but also that they have so many options within the facility for the residents in case something happens. The only issues I have are that the expenses can definitely add up, and the building is large and often confusing. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone needing memory care or has dementia, but otherwise this place is beautiful.

Stay for a while and observe before leave someone here
I wound not take a loved one here again. They are trying to make the most money off each patient. The Doctor and Manager seem to not have the patients best interests in mind. The caregivers and Nurses are caring and did great with the patient but they are overworked. The ratio of caregivers to patient needs to be fixed. Found my dad in a comatose state a few times and wet through a few times. I would not take a loved one here again.

This was a outstanding community. The staff are nice and we like that they did keep me informed on her progress. The community was always nice and very clean. The listed on the menu of healthy meals were very appealing and she was pleased with the variety. They had a lot of nice activities that were offered for her. We would recommend this community for the good care and the value for other families for the care of a loved one.

Terrible experience from beginning. Initially was told that dad would be placed in a private or double room until his behaviors could be accessed and matched with another roommate. However the first night he was there, I was called and told his roommate didn't appreciate him being there. He was yelled and cursed at by the roommate so they wanted to transfer to another room across the hall with another new roommate. I was stunned after being told he would be in a private room initially. Asked them to place him in private room at a cost of $10,000/month so that no one would yell/curse at him anymore!!!!!!! We ended up paying the $10,000/month while dad's initial roommate is still in double room by himself and paying the double room rate, much less that the private room rate we are paying????? In addition, while medical staff tried to balance his meds making him dizzy and unable to walk steadily, he started falling down. Dad had never fallen down prior to coming to Silverado. Discovered the first fall myself. Dad had bruises on face and bottom, and swollen knee, however staff had no clue that he had fallen despite the many visual indications. Even though dad fell many more times during period of trial and error on his meds, nothing was done to help prevent him from falling, or adjust meds to not make him so dizzy where he was unable to walk. Then the big fall came that was severe enough for us to take him to ER. CAT scan revealed that his neck was fractured and had a pneumonia infection too which causes more confusion in dementia patients. Staff at Silverado had no clue that he even had pneumonia even though he had been examined by doctor 2 days before. We noticed that he was coming down with something the day before his fall due to his coughing and chest pain. Staff is not trained enough to recognize when patients need assistance. Now with 12 - 14 days left to live, even though didn't have much quality of life before the fall, he now has absolutely none and fell that they didn't do enough to keep my father safe. I wish I would have kept him at home now.

Not Good
I will never use this facility again. After Mom stayed there a few days and was returned to our home, she arrived in poor condition. She had half of her undergarments on and she was soiled. There was dried vomit on her face. Another resident's narcotic prescriptions were given to us. Her medications were missing, so I had to drive back there to pick them up. One of them was lost. It took two days at home for her to recover. In spite of a verbal agreement from the director that Mom's clothing would be washed, it was not. The soiled clothing was in plastic bags in her suitcase. Our CNA visited the director's office to address concerns, but he went into his office and closed the door.

A Place for Mom has scored The Auberge at Aspen Park 6.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
