Activities every day, more during the week than weekends. Have not received any complaints about the food, even from conversations with other residents. Staff is helpful when we call and ask for some assistance.

“Care” is minimal.
There is a shortage of staff and care is minimal. Since [date removed] admission, he has had one shower given by staff. I have given him all others. We were promised two a week but I’ve heard every excuse why they can’t do that. I shave him, clean his dentures and many times when I come his walker is no where near him and he has fallen often because they don’t seem to care to remind him he needs it. There is no nurse after 6 p.m. I can’t begin to list all of the items that have come up missing since he’s been there, many in the first week. His glasses, hearing aids, jacket, shoes, throw for his chair, and the one most disconcerting, his wedding band which he has never removed since he retired. I was able to locate his hearing aids at the bottom of a wastebasket. His legs and feet are so very swollen from sleeping so much sitting up in a chair without elevating the foot rest, that they now are seeping. They were not this way upon admission. I would not choose this facility again.

They are wonderful at superior. They have numerous activities they encourage the residents to participate. The staff is very caring of their residents and my dad has even gained some weight so the food must be good

Staff is caring and attentive to their patients. In memory care you will find a variety of events to keep the patients engaged and alert. I am impressed with the quality of care and activities . The director of memory care is available and interacts with families and patients so you know that she is involved and creates so many wonderful opportunities for stimulating events to keep the patients involved. Christmas decorations were fantastic this year .

Excellent Memory Care Facility
My family and loved one have had a great experience with Superior Residences of Clermont. This is an extremely caring community. The staff always treats all the residents with the utmost respect and kindness. The residents are friendly. The staff are caring and helpful towards the family. The caring staff is probably their biggest asset. We would recommend this community to others for their loved ones.

Our family had an in person tour and we really did get that warm, cozy, inviting feeling here and we do think our loved one would of enjoyed this community, however the down side is that they had a small contract with medicaid and thinking into the future we just did not know if that would work for us.

I would tell others that the community is friendly and nice. My loved one is happy here.
I wish the food was a little bit better. The dining room just reopened last week and they have residents coming in shifts to eat.

The best possible place for my Mom!
Everyone wants the best possible place for their Mom or their Dad when Assisted Living or Memory Care is needed. My Mother has lived at Superior Residences of Clermont for several years now- and has always been content and very happy there. My brother and I visit often and are always impressed with the courtesy and professionalism that we see throughout the facility- and through the years, as we've grown to know so many of the people that work there, we see compassion and caring and friendliness towards us and all of the residents all the time. My Mother struggles with dementia now but never hesitates to tell me how happy she is staying there, "Everyone here is so nice!" she says. There's no better recommendation than that.

Not so greatly happy with SRC, it's not the same as it was when we moved in.
While our mom has been a resident at Superior for some time, we've gotten quite close to the staff and the residents as well.
The aids and housekeeping teams are the most impressive and most caring individuals we've experienced and are quite thankful for their dedication and commitment to the residents. They are truly the communities greatest asset. We feel however that they are not actually appreciated (nor compensated) enough for the continuous very full schedule they have every day and for the number of residents they must care for; seems to me that this team would be the most fully staffed, EVERY DAY, and that their input is sought after regarding operations and patient care responsibilities and that their ability to know that they are supported and not pressed for time so tightly to get through their shift responsibilities with so many residents to care for. IF they weren't the team that they are, this could become a serious deficit.
The activities planned for the assisted side are somewhat limited and without much variation. Bingo seems to be the highlight for most; special holiday occasions are typically very nice. Birthday acknowledgements are on the calendar but unlike when we moved in, they no longer make a bid deal for the residents on their special day...and goodness knows, they are all up there in age so every birthday is a big day for them and they want and need to be acknowledged and fussed over. The movies on Sat/Sun afternoon tend to be very old and are held inside the one available activity room chairs not comfortable enough to sit through a 90min movie! Perhaps periodic simulated "drive in movie" events upstairs in the big room near the parlor would be fun...let them drive in in their typical mediums, give them the comfy stuffed chairs to sit in, let them go to the "concession stand" for popcorn/soda/candy/hotdogs. [Name removed] is the very best at planning activities; while she was out on leave the residents had way fewer activities.....they need these a lot and they need more variety. Please give [name removed] the reigns again to be able to plan out more grand events (and give her some help!)
The food...……...just not great. Of all the benefits they are provided as part of their monthly fees, the one thing those folks look forward to every day is eating well, seriously. The menus look nourishing but the results are only about 80%. A lot of it is cold, overcooked, and often appears like it is either leftovers thrown together or someone's last minute idea. (breakfast however is the very best meal of the day and is consistently great....except the powdered eggs!)
Finally, as sad as the reality is, many folks last days and hours of their journey end while being a resident at this type of facility. The residents have grown over time to be prepared simply by nature of their ages, however, they also become very attached to each other. I have a very strong feeling about this that at SRC they need to be considered and some level of a simple memorial needs to be organized for each and every one of them that pass so the residents can have their time to grieve. To this point, people pass quietly and no one "tells" the residents; no one makes a gentle and tasteful announcement to them that this has occurred; they are left to learn about them from the chain of communication between the residents and then nothing else is said nor done for them. Makes me very sad for the residents left behind.
While we clearly appreciate the care given to our mom and our family, the continuous changing of the Admin team has had the most negative impact on the residents with the nursing director changing from a consistent certified care manager to nurse managers to LPN's becoming the director, then moved out the door to advance to the corporate offices. There isn't a consistency in nursing care and the admin team has changed so many times, that the folks who move in to the roles don't get to become familiar with the residents and families before they are replaced again. The corporate entity needs to slow down and reinvest their time in listening to these comments, listening to their residents and listening to their aids and housekeepers. Admin is only as good as the people who support them.....support is minimal because there are not consistent Admin folks in place managing WITH the residents. Making this more of a business vs a home is going to be the downfall for SRC.

A good place to live
Cleanliness - Pretty good about keeping the place clean. No bad smells
Friendliness - Staff is friendly and helpful
Care services - The staff are very nice to the patients. I don't feel they take the residents to the bathroom often enough but I also feel that is because they just don't have enough aides for so many patients. Legally they do, but in reality it isn't enough.
Activities - My relative is in the memory care unit so not a lot of activities that can be done with the patients, but they do play bingo, make a few crafts, and have people in to do music which they love.
Food - my relative says the food is good. Good variety
Only problem I have is they can't seem to keep laundry straight. Even with names on articles of clothing and sheets, my relative's clothes and sheets have disappeared. Not sure why this is an ongoing problem

This was a nice place. It had a dance floor. People seemed engaged in activities. I think it would definitely be worth a good look. Our main concern was that we were looking for a two bedroom unit for mom and stepdad and did eventually find one that worked. This facility did not have any available at this time. But it was a good tour and nice place.

Numerous activities to participate in
Everything seems to be going fine, they have the doctor in and my love one is getting the therapy that she wanted so she’s happy. It was actually surprising to me too because when she first went in there she told me that she won’t do anything and she’s just going to just stay in her room. Now she’s so involved with everything it’s hard for us to find her when we go and visit. All the staff was very friendly, the place is nice and clean, if something were to break they have someone on it right away if not the next day, we get a great response out of everything, and my love one loves her room so she is very comfortable. They provide great activities like chair exercises, chair dancing, bingo, there are people in and out of their activity room doing puzzles, or just sitting around and talking. They also take the residences out once a week to Walmart and they also have transportation to other excursions for a fee. I recommend this location.

Pleasant Tour!!
I have no complaints about the tour I had taken of this community for my mother. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked the floor plan they had as well as the other great amenities in the facility. It was a great location and very close to my house with easy access. The director really took her time with us and made sure to sit down and explain everything. It was just not the right price in the end decision but I would recommend it to anyone.
