I had met the Director at another Memory Care facility two years before, which was a welcome surprise. Two weeks later we moved my wife in, ending my 5 1/2 years of Home Caregiving. The process was the standard plan, organized to keep the person away from the hustle of moving. Everything needed was moved in and in place, including pictures on the wall. The person with their Caregiver arrive for lunch, then is taken to their room and introduced to staff. When my wife was settled after being in the room with me and one of our Caregivers from home, we left. Sunapee Cove is 30 minutes away, giving me, our sons and families chances to visit often. My wife has had a few upsets and the on shift staff have called me.
