A great caregiver
Hello,
I was referred by close family friend. It has been my absolute pleasure to have assistance from Senior America - Lake County. I am a 62-year-old woman with upper and lower back problems also sciatica. There are times when I can barely move because of the pain, and many things that I would like to take care of that I cannot. I feel that my caregiver is an answer to prayers. She’s amazing. I have two cats that I cannot change their litter. She feeds them takes care of them. She cooks, shops, cleans and does laundry for me. I know there are many people that can do these things, but she goes above and beyond what she can do. She’s like a daughter to me. She keeps me company and she enjoys listening to me. She makes me laugh and heal emotionally. I love our encouraging talks and I look forward to seeing her daily. It’s a pleasure to have someone who truly cares about you and it’s not just a job.

Care of my grandpa
Our aid [name removed] was the best. She took very good care of my grandpa. She was compassionate and even though he was stubborn and mean sometimes he loved seeing her. She is a great employee to have for options. You can tell that she cares for her patients and she takes awesome care of their needs.

My father had Options for several years and they did an amazing job caring for my father five days a week. The caregivers were awesome. The most recent caregiver named [name removed] was very good with my father and his final days of his life. [name removed] was like Family. Option staff were great with me specially, when my father passed they even came to his celebration of life and was very supportive with me.

Everything I needed and more!!
I was a full time caregiver for my 93 year old dad. Other than 2 hours per week for bathing assistance, I had no help. I was completely burned out and exhausted. This agency was
referred to me by a cousin who had used the services. I was hesitant, because dad could be difficult to work with. Our aide put me completely at ease, even taking time to sit with us, so that dad would be comfortable with her when left alone. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone with such a pure and caring heart. She is forever a part of our family.

absolutely amazing!
[name removed] has cared for my grandfather for 3+ years and she is very much like family at this point. The way she cares for him is so genuine and she makes him feel great about the care she provides. Often times, elders are angry at what they may not be able to do for themselves anymore but Mona has been instrumental in building my grandfather’s confidence back. I am sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with our services provided to your husband. I do understand that having the right personality for a care provider is as important as the care. Unfortunately we were unable to find staff willing to work in the particular living conditions you have and equally difficult to find staff willing to work in an emotionally unhealthy environment. We did try to communicate this to you in the best way possible but this was not something we could get to change. We only hire staff that are willing to be professional and respectful always and while there are some medical conditions that inhibit the ability for the client to reciprocate, we equally expect our Care Providers to be treated in a respectful and professional manner. We do wish you the best with finding the right fit for your home care needs.

I will always be thankful for Options
I will always be thankful for Options. When my dad suddenly passed away...my sisters and I tried to pick up the 24hr care my mom needed. With limited vision, diabetes, dementia and frequent falls...she could not be left alone. We heard about Options and they came to meet my mom and us...it was an instant connection. I recently told [name removed] they were "Angels that came to us in one of the darkest times of our lives". These girls took excellent care of mom. They became family...sisters...and daughters to my mom. They brought her to picnics..parties and holidays. She loved all of them. [Names removed] were great to work with and the girls they sent were so loving and caring. [Names removed] were there at the end and you couldn't ask for more devoted "daughters". [Name removed] stayed all night with my mom the last time she was in the hospital. I can't say enough about this Agency. They will always be very special to this family.

My mother has had caregiving services from Options for Senior Americans for over a year now and we couldn't be more pleased. The caregivers are excellent and the whole staff is very professional and attentive to my mother's needs. She was determined to stay in her own home after turning 90 and no longer being able to drive. But that meant she would be living alone with none of her children living close by. I really didn't think this was a possibility until I heard of Options for Senior America. From our initial meeting and interview we were thrilled with all the services offered: transportation to appointments, church and social engagements, as well as help with grocery shopping and other activities, and all for a reasonable and affordable cost. We were matched with a primary caregiver who has been more efficient and caring than we ever could have expected. When my mother had a health crisis, Options staff were there to assess her condition and get her immediately to the hospital. If I had known that such a great service was available years ago I would not have worried so much about my mother being able to continue living as she wished in her own home. The best news is that my mother's health has actually improved with the help of Options personnel and she is happy and secure. We are so grateful.
