Our first place we came to was Miller's Senior Living Community. We were blown away when we first walked in the door.It was very clean and didn't have that \"old folks home smell\".We had a tour of the facility,the apartment layout options.The dining room was like sitting in a restaurant and the food menu was fantastic.They have an amazing activity room for group functions. Our Dad was so impressed he bypassed the trial period and moved in the following weekend.It was very affordable for him for all that they have to offer.The care that they offer each resident at any time of the day is wonderful.He bragged to all his friends about Miller's.Most important is that we felt safe knowing he was in good hands.All of the staff there treat you like family. Each apartment is appointed with a kitchenette with large refrigerator and freezer and a microwave. The bathrooms feature enviable open floor space and ample no-step showers with safety bars. From your windows, be on the lookout for wildlife both large a small. In case of an emergency, residents may press the button on their personal pendant or one of the two alert buttons in the apartment.<br><br>Enjoy nutritious, fresh, whole foods in our dining room. Tables are covered in fresh linens, the wait staff is patient, the menu is robust, and familiar background music sets just the right mood. Save room for sweet treats served daily in our old-fashioned ice cream parlor.<br><br>With only 58 units, the atmosphere provides a feeling of peace and comfort; it’s never crowded. Common areas open to residents and their families include: a billiards room, Gathering Room and Library, three tea rooms, Private Dining Room, large multipurpose recreation room with a fully-applianced kitchen, hair salon, separate chapel, five covered balconies, shady front porch, al fresco dining patio, and two gazebos. Each space is designed to be inviting, comfortable, and “touchable” so that residents experience the relaxed coziness of home. <br><br>Miller’s is proud to be 100% employee-owned and to operate only in the state of Indiana.
