We expected a difficult transition period as she has Alzheimer's and liked being in her home. But with the staff support, lovely surroundings and personal attention mom settled in very quickly. They even asked for list of foods she liked and disliked as she's not a great eater. Mom even asked us to promise we never move her and her final days spent there. I'm a retired nurse and can't fault the staff's care and intervention.... always knowing when advanced care is needed and calling an ambulance when appropriate. Mercy homes are privately owned and managed by a nurse so the quality and care are excellent. I especially appreciate the direct communication and involvement I have with her when it involves my mother's care. I do not live locally so she organizes face-to-face calls with mom and I which is medicine in itself. Indoors we keep a daily exercise routine for both mental and physical health. We host bingo nights and other game events to keep everyones’ competitive edges sharp. Mercy staff members help make sure all of your personal maintenance is taken care of, including off-site transportation to professional grooming services. If you want to get out and stretch your legs for a bit, we provide complimentary transportation to medical appointments and routine visits, outside events, shopping trips, and restaurants. Full-service laundry is provided, so you’ll never have to concern yourself with detergent or monitoring the wash cycle. Our staff is multilingual as well, speaking English, Spanish, German, French, and Russian.</p> <h3>On-Site Care</h3> <p>The care staff at Mercy are fully trained and ready to aid our residents with injections and monitor their health markers to tailor medication dosages. Staff are able to assess oxygen levels and other vital signs. We are also able to provide catheter, colostomy, and incontinence care so our residents can receive the aid they require in a dignified manner.</p> <h3>Care Types Offered</h3> <p>Mercy Family Home is licensed as an Adult family Home, which is defined as a facility that provides assistance with daily activities, health support services, and intermittent nursing services for two to six residents. Health support services include dementia care and mental health care.</p>
