They did okay.
My loved one was here for a while. They did okay. The staff was friendly enough, and it was clean. We didn't make as much progress here as I had hoped.

Looks are deceiving
If you're looking for a "pretty" place to stick somebody in, this is a pretty place. If you're looking for a place to stick somebody in to let them waste away, be ignored and left to die, this is definitely the place. The 500 wing is a death trap. My father died 4 days after being taken out and sent to ER. The whole time he was there, everybody acted like he was perfectly fine and telling us he was nowhere near that sick. Anybody, and I mean anybody with half a brain could see he was dying. During a heated "meeting" with a nurse supervisor, I made reference to him dying and in an irritated tone she said, " why do you keep saying that. He's not going to die". He was taken out on Sunday and dead on Thursday. The nursing staff is an absolute joke. Most are CNAS and part time. The decent ones told me behind closed doors to get him out of there. And if it was their father, they would. Just because someone has a terminal illness, CHF in my father's case, doesn't mean you quit caring about and taking care of them. When he was moved to the 500 wing he went almost 3 days without oxygen. They didn't even know he was supposed to have oxygen. Keep in mind he was a stage 4 CHF patient. His tanks were constantly empty when we went to see him. When they finally brought his first tank, they stuck it on a wheelchair and pushed it close to the bed. Who does that? Ridiculous. He was supposed to have a concentrator but we were told they didnt have any or they were out in the shed and broken. After complaining to those in charge, we were told "yes we do have them. I know because I order them". So why did it take 2 almost 3 days to get my father oxygen? I asked repeated about the fact he gained 20 pounds in fluid without getting an intelligent answer. One "nurse" said he wasn't swollen at all. The next nurse told me " I don't know what's wrong with her. He's swollen to his thighs". I wont mention names for obvious reasons, but 2 of the staff told me they were disgusted that he was being let to die when it was so obvious. I'm sure some will disregard this as ridiculous and the facility will try to play it down. Every word is true whether they admit to it or not. And of course they won't. Has anyone else noticed that they "responded" to all the "one star" reviews but mine?! They are obviously afraid to open that can of worms. They know I'm telling the truth and can name names. 1
