I recently took a tour at the Jonesboro, AR location given by the most bubbly sales manager, [name removed]. From the moment I walked in, it felt warm and inviting just like home. It definitely is true independent living with opportunity to meet new friends with different activities all year round. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner which is great if you worry bout your loved one cooking. [names removed], and the rest of the staff are friendly and answered any questions I had for them. If you are in need of independent living, this is the place! Call [name removed] to set up your tour.

All the low marks stem from poor management in my opinion. A lot of people would probably give it lower marks . The manager is not popular at all.

Great place
I lived here in the past when my husband was sick and needed to be close to town for care and now I'm moving back in myself. The staff is wonderful, helping as much as possible with resources to help me get help from the VA. The food has been good so far and the people are so nice and welcoming. I look forward to settling in and making this my last move ever!

Nice people, Nice place
The Sales lady was very nice, and the facility i in pretty good shape! They keep it clean and the residents I’ve talked to have all been very happy. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place with outstanding food.

I'm Loving It
I wasn't real sure I was going to like it at the beginning, but now I'm perfectly happy here. Food's good and made some great friends so far. I love being able to have the transportation so we can go places and not have to stay home all day all the time.

I would recommend the facility. Food is very good - the only negative I have there is that my dad isn't a fan of always going to dining hall and they don't do take out unless he is ill. So I don't think he takes advantage of the meal plan. Staff is very friendly! They provide lots of activities but again my dad doesn't take advantage of them. We also don't depend on their cleaning staff. That is where they have struggled with keeping help and because he qualified for outside help there, we don't have to depend on them. Overall, we are happy and would recommend Southwind.

Happy at the Heights!
We are very pleased with this facility so far. The food is good quality. The staff are very personable. They have been short staffed in cleaning crew and took a bit to get our room cleaned weekly. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

A wonderful place to put mom
This facility is absolutely wonderful! Everyone here is great. Communication is absolutely great, their doors are open anytime. Housekeeping is daily and they do a good job. The food is good quality and good variety. The front desk and office staff are absolutely great. The overall staff is absolutely fantastic, I'd rate them at a ten if I could. Everyone has been wonderful to me here. I would absolutely recommend this facility to family and friends.

Southwind Heights
I like that everybody's welcoming and friendly. I never feel alone. They are kind, considerate, and respectful. The meals are good. The activities are good and they have something every day to help us socialize with other people living here. They can meet us one time and know our names. I can go to the staff with any need and if they can't do it, they find someone who can. I love that bus driver. He takes me to Walmart and the doctor and any other place we want to go. There are people here who have come with nothing and they have done their best to help aquire furniture and other items

Going down hill!
My mother has been her 4 years this coming [date removed]. When she first came in it was very nice here! Good food and lots of activities.
PRESENTLY.. food not good, not enough food, when a person lives here and takes part in activities where prizes are given, participants have been told “too many prizes are given away”! And the prizes they get are cheap ones from the Dollar Store!! As a resident here, my mom likes the fact she has her own apartment and her own furniture from her home but things just aren’t the same! And that’s sad with what she has to pay monthly to stay here! I would think, with what she pays alone, they could afford to do more with the residents and most of all, have decent meals for them!!

Tour of Holiday
I toured Holiday South Wind Heights and the tour was excellent. The young lady who helped us was wonderful. Everybody spoke to us, they were all friendly. We chose another community because they didn't have any availability for the apartment-type that my loved one wanted. They did have a ground room available, but it was smaller. If you want to people, go their rooms, or join in on activities, you'd have to ride in an elevator and we didn't like that. We also didn't like the lack of openness downstairs, as things were on different levels. I've had friends and relatives
My father-in-law felt like it was worth the money, as he really liked the feeling of the community we chose.

Excellent
I have no complaints. We've had no problems at South Wind Heights. The food is okay. They don't salt very much, which depends on individual taste. But I understand that a lot of people can't have salt at that age. My friend seems to be very happy there and partakes in the activities. I'm very pleased, and I feel like she's very safe. They check on the residents not only during the day but also during the night. And they're very conveniently and centrally located. It doesn't take long to get to the hospital or doctors. And it's close by to Walmart and places to eat.

A Good Place
I think they don't have a lot of activities and I think it could be more. The trash is put in the hallway and it doesn't seem to be picked up in a timely manner. The carpets could use a refresh or a deep clean.
They seemed to be more friendly during the sales process. Now the staff don't seem to be as friendly with us. I don't see the staff very often, I think the staff could be more out and about. There is no staff after 5 at night. It would be better if they had more staff in the evening.
The community has a hard time keeping a chef.

My review of South Wind Heights
The price is better than most places that we looked at. The food is not good and we have had issues with the management and we have to prove when we paid the bills because they will double bill us. When she moved in it took them 2 months for someone to come in and clean the room because they forgot that she was there so we have had issues with the cleaning staff as well.
