overall nice community
Overall Fellowship is very good, the cleanliness is fine for an old property which is had to determine. Most paid staff is very helpful. The meals we offered suggestion's last year and they provided more healthy options. There are not activities at night, unless you play bingo or weekends since the staff is off duty. The management people [name removed] is the most caring and helpful. [name removed] is also great. The rehab has issues.

Fellowship Square Phoenix review
We chose this because it's a Christian atmosphere. More activities than we could do. This year 5.5% increase for new lease. Still a good deal with 25 meals per month. Meals so big you can make 2 meals out of them.
We found the Phoenix Calvary church which is very close and very good.

I'm extremely pleased with my choice
It is a little pricey but it's worth the extra money. I would recommend Fellowship Square to anyone over 65. Everyone there is so nice residents, staff, etc. My mom and dad rave about how excellent the food is. My mom complains a lot and she never complains about food. My dad enjoys the gym and the pool. State of the art equipment at the gym. Great place for elderly Christian couples

Happy Mom
Mom has felt so free and welcomed since she moved in. Her family notice that she is SO HAPPY (which eases our mind, some of us not being in close proximity to her)! Even her guests notice how friendly everyone is!
She is not thrilled about the food.
There are some things she likes better than others, but she loves to cook, so when there is a meal being served that she doesn't care for, she just makes her own in her apartment.
She really enjoys having a full time chaplain on site and attending church and Bible study. She has also gotten involved with the quilting/crochet group and enjoys that a lot.
Overall the move to Fellowship Square has been a godsend, giving her the independence she craved with the peace of mind that if she needs help, it is readily available!

Experience so far
My loved one is currently a resident at Fellowship Square Phoenix and overall things have been good. The food is usually good quantity, but there isn't a lot of variety and the dining hours are short. My loved one's apartment is very clean. The staff is very good and most everyone is nice at this facility. There are no evening activities after 5pm.

Our family had an in person tour with Fellowship Square and we met in the independent living building which was so very nice. However when we walked across the street to the assisted living building, it was very stark and not very welcoming. The apartment was decent, and the staff was super nice but it just seemed a bit drab and depressing.

I wanted my loved one to be in an enclosed area and in a nice environment and neighborhood and I just did not get that feeling at this community. The tour was good and they gave me all of the information that I needed for my loved one it was just not the right place for me loved ones needs.

Would Recommend to Anybody Looking for an Independent Living Facility
The staff is like family. They are wonderful - from management, to housekeeping, to maintenance, to the kitchen staff and servers. Everybody acts like we belong to them. The food could use little bit of help. If you have serious food issues, then you have to work your way around things. But they're trying to do the best they can. And we have a resident food committee that meets with and gives feedback to the chef and the person who runs the dining room. Things are improving. Part of that has to do with supply and demand challenges, and they really do the best they can under the circumstances. Recently, meals have become much improved, especially with a lot more fresh fruits and vegetables. It's just a very friendly and open place. When we toured and walked around with [name removed], who is amazing, she introduced us to people and they smiled and welcomed us and told us "You really want to live here!" And they were right. It's all different age groups here. Some of the most amazing people and most fun to be with are people in their 90s on walkers. So as someone without any of those restrictions just yet, I've learned not to judge a book by its cover. There are a lot of hidden gems here to get to know. And I'm very happy I'm here. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. There's a coy pond that my balcony overlooks, and they're out there maintaining things every day. Security is also important to them. Recently, after 10pm, anybody coming in has to go through the guard tower, and that will eventually will be 24 hours a day. They take very good care of us here.

We're Very Happy With Our Choice
The community was great from the beginning. There are two people I know that live here. This is a great value for your money. This was our top choice after looking at the different communities in the area. They have beautiful open spaces, and large hallways in the community. This makes it nice for residents in wheelchairs.
The staff are very helpful and friendly if the family has questions or concerns.
The residents receive one meal a day, and they have to order the meal the day before. The dining room has only been open for the last couple of months. They had been delivering meals, and are now charging for it, plus no one was able to get in the dining room until recently. The food is good tasting and there are plenty of choices to choose from. The only issue is receiving the food in the room for my loved one.

Happy with our choice
We chose Fellowship Square Phoenix because of the friendliness, when we walked on the campus everyone was going out of their way saying hi and waving at us. They also offer subsidized housing and have a continuum of care which was a big plus for down the road. We love the apartment and the size is great. I feel that they are very caring and really took their time to explain things to us and really walked us through everything, I did not feel like they were pressuring us and I did not feel bad asking questions. They were super transparent through the whole process. The location is out where there is not a whole lot of stores so you have to have a car or use their transportation to get to things.

My review of Fellowship Square Phoenix (a Life Plan Community)
I am very happy with the Fellowship community, I love it here. The staff is very efficient and cooperative, and the residents are all very friendly. They do have a lot of activities to participate in. The food is okay, it is somewhat institutional, but surprisingly it can be very good sometimes. The food can also be delivered to your room if you wish and they are still really nice when they bring up your food.

if you wanna be happy
The community does cost a lot but the peace of mind and security are worth it. The staff is very friendly and caring and the residence is great also. I would definitely recommend this community to others

Fellowship Square is a facility that is about 40 years old but does not show its age. It is very well maintained. A big plus is that every unit has its own washer/dryer. The meal plan is a bit odd as they include 25 meals per month in your rent and you are responsible for the rest. They do allow any uneaten food to be taken back to your apartment, which many residents do, I understand, and eat it at a later time. They have a fairly large fitness center where a therapist is there a couple times a day, but it is open for you to use at all times.

[Name removed] was wonderful and she gave us a full, complete tour of Fellowship Square. It was clean and modern, and quite impressive. We met a few seniors living there and they were kind and friendly. This was our very first facility to visit and we'll be touring other places before we make a final decision. But we'll definitely give Fellowship Square another visit.
