Our Experience
Bonaventure at Keizer Station is okay. My Mom moved in at the end of December. She wants to move back to her house at the end of February. Everything sounded great until she moved in and payed closed to $[removed]. The staff was not on the ball about her disability. The chow menu has little variety of food.

A community worth exploring.
The staff work really hard to meet the need of the residents. We have liked all of the interactions we've had with them. The unfortunate thing is that finding good employees is hard for everyone right now, and so there has been a steady turnover of staff as corporate has moved them around to plug holes. The quality of the food is a continual conversation. My father-in-law isn't a complainer, but the friends he's made are. We recognize it's hard to please everyone, but they could definitely improve. The residents are very friendly, and it is relatively easy to build good relationships. My father-in-law has made many. They have a good variety of activities, and several times a year host families for meals, BBQs and other celebrations at no cost to the family (usually)..

I would recommend. Overall it has been fine.
Housekeeping in memory care is not as good as assisted living because the care takers have to do it. Before Dad passed the memory care staff were great and even when he did pass. Now Mom is still in the apt in memory care with some dementia but still pretty independent so I worry sometimes they don't check on her enough and she doesn't like to come out to the commons area. The food was better it is not as good in the last couple of months . Mom eats in her apt so by the time it is delivered it is cold. They do let me eat with her without charging me. There has always been activities in memory care but Mom won't go. She has a key fob and can leave memory care to do other activities but chooses not to. It looks to me like they are better in the main building now them the last manager. Mom pays awful lot of money to be in memory care in her big apt but I am afraid once I move her to assisted living her memory would get worse and I would need to move her back. The caregivers are good to her and I don't have to worry.

Friendly and fun place to be
My dad says that people are very friendly and helpful at Bonaventure at Keizer Station. He also says that sometimes the maintenance is slow at fixing things, but that he realized the difficulty in finding enough qualified help to do some things. The residents and the administration are so friendly and welcoming when we visit and they plan fun activities for their residents - Mother's Day tea, Father's Day BBQ, Hawaiian luau, car show, and weekly visits to places in the area. Although mom and dad are limited to how many daily activities in which they can participate, the activities sound fun to me and really help foster a community feel. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Did not meet expectations
She got off to a very bad start and they didn't seem to like her. She was left alone all the time. I don't think they cared if she ate. I was there almost every day to help her. We have her Ina much better place now. [community name removed].

Great place family members.
Great facility, staff are easy to work with, very attentive to residents. We picked this community, for our loved one because of the availability of memory care room available, size of one bedroom apartments rather than a studio size apartment, comfortable with decor and appearance of place, programs offered, and the location. In addition, it was also the staff friendliness, staff ratio, and services offered.

I would recommend that people should not consider this facility due to lack of care........
Understaffed, bad housekeeping, missing possessions, undertrained, mistakes in medication management, meals/food presentation terrible and usually not on schedule, facility looks nice but care for the residents lacked. Administrators at the facility avoided conversation regarding complaints . We had to remove my mom from this facility because we were concerned about her safety. We made a report to the State of Oregon licensing department in [date removed] . Mom was in the memory care wing at this facility. I would recommend that people should not consider this facility due to lack of care and respect for the residents from Administrators to Care Givers.

Bonaventure at Keizer Station review
Bonaventure in Keizer was quite a disappointment! Memory care was not what they told me it was. Nurse was supposed to be on duty 5 days a week, didn't happen, hot dogs were on the menu constantly. Contract was quoted at one price, then they presented contract with different numbers. My husband did not get the care that Bonaventure told me he would get! I would not recommend them to anyone!

Overall doing a good job, food choices limited
Overall Bonaventure at Keizer Station is an ok facility, the management changes just after mom moved in, but they are doing a good job. The food choices are SO LIMITED, it's what my loved one complains about the most.

Do your research.
There has been many staff changes in the last 2 months that has lead to confusion among residents. Some have moved out. I would advise my friends to do research and visit other facilities. At times I feel that this is an internment camp for geriatrics.

Bonaventure at Keizer Station has a ways to go before it meets what I consider appropriate standards.
The facility itself is very nice. There are a lot of activities, but people just don't get out of their cabins to go do them. Bonaventure is at least making the effort to offer them. However, they have had a lot of management issues. We've gone through three different executive directors in the last four months. The entire kitchen and serving staff have resigned several times. So there is a staffing issue to be aware of. That's the biggest concern I have here on my end. They're having a hard time keeping staff, and I think it has to do with how upper management treats them.

The staff is very friendly, except for the Executive Director. The community is clean. The activities for the residents are great! The response time to the call button requests from the staff could use some improvement. Also, there could be better medication management. The dining room food could use some improvement, and it would be nice to have better quantity management of food available for the residents.

Review for Bonaventure at Keizer Station
We picked this community because, It was an emergency, to get my loved one into memory care. Sometimes they do laundry, and don't bring it back on time. The personal care, and communication could use improvement. In addition, they could do better with following-up on things.

our families experience
We really like the Bonaventure at Keizer Station community itself and all the amenities they have, however at times our loved one does not get the services that we pay for and our provided due to staffing shortages. We do understand though that this is a universal issue amongst many communities. We do really like that anytime we have questions or concerns we are able to go to the upper management and they are very accessible.

I toured this facility and the place itself was great. It's in a newer location and the building is in good shape. Cleanliness was good. However, we had a lot of communication issues with the staff. Both before and after our tour. It was hard to schedule the tour, get returned phone calls, etc. So we decided to keep looking.

Our Tour Experience
We thought Bonaventure at Keizer Station was very nice, but also very expensive. They didn't have the meal services all throughout the day either. Again, everything seemed very nice, but they were about 30% more in cost than other places we looked at. And my loved one just didn't want to spend that much.
