For the Right Person, Could Be a Great Place to Live

It seems like they have great programs set up for the residents. The community seems to be clean. The room wasn't ready when we came to move my loved one in. I would suggest you follow up with the community to make sure they are ready for your loved one.

The staff have been receptive to concerns and questions. They know my love one by name. There are a lot of activities. Some of the activities that are available are walks around the garden, country drives, bat the ball, chair aerobics, root beer floats, movie nights, and more.

Great facility

Mom has lived at the Springs for a year. It is the 3rd facility she has lived in and by far this is the best. The staff is amazing and throughout the Covid pandemic has stepped up in so many ways. No staff or resident ever got the virus and they communicated with family all the time.

Must visit

Legacy Oaks Offers many amenities at a great value but the real difference here which is felt throughout is the professionalism and caring of the staff, very genuine. The dining room offers choices the food presented nicely and was very tasty. Residents chatted and enjoyed their meal. I noticed laughter and many had visitors during the meal. I highly recommend you visit Legacy Oaks of Sacramento.

Community was clean and staff was friendly. During our tour, we noted a couple of guys playing cards in the main room and a few people sitting in the entry area. Rooms were spacious and residents are allowed to paint them. Beauty shop is open one day a week from 10 to 3. Lunch that day was stuffed bell peppers, corn, garlic bread, coleslaw and bread pudding. The lunch room was very quiet even though most tables were occupied by 2 or more residents.

Very nice and inviting staff

This facility has been better than what I’ve expected. The staff has been great and welcoming. They have really helped my Mother adjust fairly well. The facility itself is very clean, nice, and it feels more like home. Not once has it felt like an institution or a hospital. For activities, they offer arts/crafts, games, bingo, and monthly themed parties. I would recommend this community in a heartbeat.

Middlefield Oaks

Middlefield Oaks has been great so far. The place is very clean, which is important because I’m kind of a neat freak. The staff is extremely helpful, and is always right there to answer our questions. The food is good as well. My mother has put on six pounds since moving there about a month ago, and I think the atmosphere of everyone sitting down together in the dining room and being able to eat at their own pace is really helpful for her. There are lots of activities here as well like cards, puzzles, and crafts, and they post a monthly brochure so everyone knows what is available. It’s very expensive, but overall, I would recommend it to others.

Helpful Staff!!

I had recently taken a tour of this community and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff did a great job with the presentation and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked the spacious dinning room area and thought they had a great meal selection for the residents. It was just not the right location for us in the end decision.

Sorry but we didn’t visited/viewed Middlefield Oaks - Cottage Grove, OR. Instead we visited Magnolia Gardens in Cottage Grove to which my comments below pertain. We toured the Middlefield Oaks and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. They answered all of the questions we had and the residents that we saw seemed happy and involved. We chose another community that my mom had her heart set on.

I liked this place a lot!!

I have no complaints about how things went for my loved one and I during our tour of this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to accommodate our needs to the best of there ability. They had a very clean facility with lots of great amenities available to all of the residents which I was impressed with. It was just not the right fit in the end decision.

First impression could have been better.

We toured this community when looking for my father-in-law. The day of the tour they had a resident in the lobby who was upset trying to call her doctor to leave. I believe she was a memory care patient and I think they could have handled the issue differently and done a better job of calming her down. The other reason we didn't chose Nazareth Place is when my father-in-law mentioned the type of alternative medicine he takes the lady didn't have much to say and made him feel uncomfortable.

Took A Tour!!

I really felt the community was clean during my tour. The director was very knowledgeable and provided me with specific information. I recall that they offer meal plans for the residents. The staff that i did meet were very nice and attentive. One of the things about the community that i wasn't very much impressed with was the outdated building. It would be nice if they could do some updating to the place.

Moving Dad to Sacramento

My father was living in the Bay Area and needed to move closer to us since he wasn't eating much and was alone in his apartment most of the time just watching TV. Everybody was worried about him. He was declining. So, we toured a few places, some of those small "board and care" (too small) and some really nice corporate type facilities (too big and mega expensive). We decided on Nazareth after touring and eating a great lunch (salmon, rice, veggies, cake), we talked to some of the resident's about their lives here and we talked to the staff too. I liked that they have an on-site LVN all week and one at night too. The prices are fair--even though it seems like a lot of money the Sales Director showed us that if you added Dad's current rent, food, utilities, etc. he would end up paying about $300 more per month and he didn't have to do a thing but join everyone in the dining room for meals, and make friends and live his life. There are staff 24/7, they give Dad his medications on time and in the right amount (he was not taking his meds at home). He's coming out of his shell now and that's a relief. It's a great place.

Dad and dementia

Our Dad was recently diagnosed with Dementia after an operation that went bad. The discharge planner at the hospital tried to help us, but you just have to get out there and tour. It was really hard too--people in dementia places are not in their right minds any longer. We looked at 6 Memory Care places and chose Park Place because the staff really knew what to do and how to handle people like Dad. I'm relieved that Dad is being cared for, but miss his personality.
