Mild dementia patients may not get enough mental stimulation or activities, though. The facility is CLEAN, never smells , well sanitized and they take pride in maintaining a well kept safe home for my Aunt. We apply common practices and regular activities to stimulate a lively atmosphere. Our staff are thoroughly trained to help prevent falls, manage potential behavior issues, and keep residents engaged and active. We offer an array of stimulating activities, including arts and crafts, trivia games, morning exercise programs, singing and dancing, and much, much more. There’s never a limit to the joy we encourage everyone to experience everyday, and we make it our mission to put smiles on the wonderful faces of all of our residents.</p> <p>We serve three delicious meals daily, and our staff can assist residents with eating, if necessary. Assistance can also be provided with other daily activities, including, but not limited to: bathing/showering, medication management, grooming, and an array of personalized care to encourage overall well-being.</p> <h3>Living</h3> <p>We currently have private and semi-private units available for prospective residents. All of our units feature private bathrooms, and emergency pull-cords to notify staff of any rising concerns that need to be attended to. Our staff are on-site 24 hours a day, and kindly monitor and check in on residents to help ensure optimum health and safety at all times.</p> <h3>Care Types Offered</h3> <p>Lakewood Gardens is a <em>residential care facility for the elderly (RCFE)</em>, which in the state of California is a housing arrangement for persons 60 years or older where supervision and personal care is provided based on the needs of the residents. These facilities are also known as <em>assisted living facilities</em> and <em>board and care facilities</em>.
