Our Experience
Overall, our experience with Cascade Creek Memory Care was good. I was disappointed that my loved one's clothes were not always clean - most often because a bib was not used at mealtime. When he was healthy, clean clothes were important to him. The overall care that he received was good and I know that the challenge to get adequate staff was high. Thus, providing every measure of care was sometimes hard for them to do. That said, the staff were usually quick to respond to our requests for help.

Review for Cascade Creek Memory Care
I would not recommend Cascade Creek memory care to anyone. It was a chaotic environment, loud, noisy. The Labor Day weekend contributed to unfavorable medication management and availability. In addition, there were medicinal changes during this transitional period that changed my loved one's ability to take care of herself, needing more help than Cascade Creek could provide. I have heard that their support group is good.

A Great Choice, Mom is Happy
I would rate all seven categories a 5. My mother tells us often that she is very happy at Cascade Creek and she likes the staff. As a family that makes all the difference in the world. The facility is about 3 years old. The facility still looks clean and fresh. Thank-you A Place For Mom for finding this place for my Mom and her family.

Poor leadership, understaffed, breech of contract
The facility is newer therefore it may look appealing from the outside but don't be fooled. The main issue with this facility is the lack of quality leadership. [name removed] the director is nonresponsive to family concerns. Phone calls are not returned, requests for meetings go unanswered, any response and communications from her is by email. There is no follow through if she does promise to address concerns.
[name removed] the nurse is incompetent. The staff that they do have are hard working and try their best, [name removed] is lazy and has no clue about simple medical issues. Services contractually obligated to provide are often overlooked. Be sure to pay close attention to your bill as they are often incorrect.
Most of these facilities are currently understaffed but professional and competent leadership can make a difference, not at this place.

We really like Cascade Creek
The move in went very easy - only thing I understand you can only move in during the week. Staff is so friendly and seem to accommodate my loved one's needs. The front desk is friendly and helpful. Front desk is staffed longer hours than I expected and you don't have to remember any codes - staff clicks you in and out. Good to know they have safety surveillance throughout the facility. Others who have visited our loved one say he seems happy and that they think the facility is friendly and nice. I would like it if they encouraged my loved one, or helped him, to shave more often. Maybe I need to communicate that wish to them. Otherwise, they are wonderful!

Papa found the perfect place
My dad is currently a resident at Cascade Creek Memory care and everything has been great for him at this facility so far. The staff is wonderful. My dad did not adjust to his first facility after a year. This place only took him three to four weeks to adjust to. He loves it now. He loves the food. He loves the outings that they have. I highly recommend Cascade Creek Memory Care to others!

Very happy, recommend it without any reservations
5 for all eight items. My mother comments all the time she is happy there and the staff is good to her. The facility is great because it is fairly new (less than 2 years old). Our family is very happy our mother is a resident at Cascade Creek. My mother comments that she loves the staff. The staff listens and tells my mother that they love her too. They truly seem to care about the individual. The facility is new and the rooms appear bright and clean.

This facility is very warm and friendly. The meals are good, but could improve as far as variety. The staff that I've worked with are very helpful. What they do is super hard and I think they're doing a great job. I would absolutely recommend this facility to family and friends.

Would Not Recommend
The staff seem to care. But their hands are tied. If there's an incident, they don't have a nurse there that decides whether or not to send your loved one to the ER or hospital. They would put it on me to come in and make that decision. And it wasn't at all what I expected.

Better Than Most
I'm extremely disappointed that the community doesn't have land lines or cable television. The residents don't know how to use a streaming service and we have no way to communicate with our loved one.
Some of the activities the community offers include singing, exercises, bingo, outdoor patio, and more for the residents to engage with.
The staff communication with the family could be improved as there isn't enough proactive communication coming from the community to the family.

Above and beyond
We are VERY impressed with Cascade Creek. I feel like the staff is so good with the residents, we have experienced the other side of it and they really pride themselves on not letting just anybody work there and that stood out to us. They are always doing activities which is great. She is out and about a lot rather than being in her room. Everyone we have worked with has been very personable and they really get to know their residents and the family. I have nothing bad to say about them and would highly recommend.
