Welcome Home Senior Residence

If we could give the friendliness of the staff a 10 we would! When it comes to the activities, I wish they had more daily but my mom enjoys the ones they have a couple times a week. It is expensive but considering the care and attention she receives and that she is happy there....it's worth it. Overall very happy with Welcome Home!

Now that covid protocols are not as strict we do wish they would get some kind of a program during the week that give the senior residents something to do - whether that be entertainment, or guests coming to visit.

The care here is excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the residents. They are compassionate. The facility itself seems to be well run and they keep the place clean and orderly. This seems like a great place so far.

The weekday staff is the same, where as the weekend staff has rotation and it makes it harder for you to communicate with them. There is hardly any activities except a little exercise. The weekend staff put 2 diapers on him so that he would not have to get up to get changed which I did not agree with. After that they had 1 on him and changed him regularly. Other than that the care is really good.

They were very kind. The couple that was there most of the week had two small children with them, which was a tremendous plus as my father loves children and really enjoyed having them around. It was a really good experience.

[Removed] helped me on very short notice by preparing me a list of homes that fit my preferences and price and arranged tours of them all for me--all in one morning. Her helpfulness and kindness helped me at a very difficult time.

My mom has been at Welcome home for quite awhile, she has advanced dementia.I could go on and on about how devastating this disease is but my review is actually how wonderful the staff is that cares for her.I just couldn't ask for a better group of people. Their facility is always clean, the food excellent and the staff always helpful and so patient with my never ending questions. I miss her so much. One of the things I can tell she enjoys is looking out the windows, every window you can see trees, kids playing, and beautiful flowers and lawn.I do not live on Whidbey Island but I visit often and am very appreciative she is at Welcome Home.

I have a family member here and it was hard to find an affordable place. They just renovated and the facilities are nicely appointed. The bathrooms are luxurious and safe and great big screen TV's and books, activities and meals. The staff is lovely and very caring for a family member that is not able to care for themselves. So grateful I found them!

My Mom is there and its wonderful affordable option for care. They just completed the renovation and all rooms have big screens TV's and the shower facilities are luxurious. The have a great activities director and the staff is very caring for even the most difficult of cases. Beautiful patio and easy walking. Staff is very helpful in coordinating services for loved ones as well. Housekeeping is impeccable. Last time I was there they were even cleaning the AC filters ...on brand new units! Very grateful I found them!

We chose Welcome Home Senior Residence because of the recommendation of A Place for Mom. We called them and had a visit set up when our granddaughter went for the visit she really liked it and thought it was nice. Once that was done we did the rest over the phone and honestly could not be happier. It is located very close to just about anything we need from shopping to highway access. We are very pleased with Welcome Home and would recommend it to anyone.

Home was clean and looked well maintained. Staff appeared attentive and well-groomed. Both residents are women with dementia and have lived there for 5+ years. Home serves three meals a day and two snacks. Two caregivers during the day and one at night. Medications and sharp objects are kept locked. Care plans are customized for each resident. An activity manager comes at least once a week. Caregivers do not have medical certification, but are training in handling medicine and dementia care.

Home in residential area of Pleasanton. Had an antiseptic smell. Loving and heartfelt care but residence are very low functioning clients.

My dad stated here for about 2 months. Originally his rent was 5k and then they decided he was too much for them and gave us a 2 day notice that they would be raising it to 8k! Unreal. We had 9 days to find him a new place. Owner doesn't care about people or their families, just wants as much money as he can get. The want going to be improved care or more workers for that 3k, just more money in HIS pocket. Clearly taking advantage of the workers too. The caregivers for the most part were very good and the care was good. The house was very clean which we appreciated. Absolutely no activities or interaction other than diaper changes. They bring residents to the table for meals and then straight back to their rooms. The contract said 2 showers a week, he never got more than one a week. While the care was good, there are no activities and the owner is uncaring and just looking for more money so beware. If your person is too much work he'll raise your rent to force you out and find someone who sits in a room all day by themselves. Sad.
