Light, Bright, Active and Friendly

When I started my search for a new home that offered meals, I was impressed with Heartis as soon as I walked in the front door. The dining room has all the natural light the East-facing two-story windows can offer. The North doors open to the heated salt-water pool. The dining room offers 3 meals each day, starting with a breakfast that will satisfy any pallet. The lunch and dinner entrees change every day, and if you miss a regular meal you can always grab a sandwich/salad at the Bistro. Each Apartment floorplan offers plenty of room for your furniture, and the hallways are open and airy. There are more activities than you can fit into your calendar: Board Games, Puzzles, Seminars, a 2000-book Library, Interactive Games, Exercise Classes, Crafts, outings to Museums, Plays, Baseball games, and Parks. Come see why I love it so much. I've lived at Heartis over 3 years, and look forward to having you as another one of my many friendly neighbors.

A Great Community With Great Incentives!

The associates and facility are great! My mother lived there for only 4 months because her health improved enough for her to have another chance of living at her home. Her apartment was on the courtyard and really set up nice! All of the associates actually cared and really seemed to love their jobs as it showed through their service to my mother and our family! The facility is beautiful, clean and well lit. The kitchen associates were great along with the food they prepared! They had great move in incentives and monthly rates too! We really hated to leave but we had to give her a chance of living at home again. Maybe one day in the future, if needed, we will move back there. Thank you to [names removed] and EVERYONE else for their loving care of my mother and our family!

Excellent community!

From the second I walked in it felt like home and I could tell my mom would be truly happy. The receptionist greeted me by name with a smile and offered me refreshments. The Executive Director greeted me and sat down to get to know my mom as a person not what she needed help with. I was so impressed as the chef came in and served coffee and homemade lemon bundt cakes which were delicious by the way. Food is really important to mom, and they have a wonderful selection daily. I was please to know they have two nurses at the community and long tenured staff in care, reception and dining. My mom was recovering from an injury and knowing that they have therapy onsite was a relief. Mom is so happy I cannot say enough wonderful things about this community. I would highly recommend.

Would Make the Same Choice Again

We had to make some hard decisions very quickly but now into our third month at Clayton Oaks, we would make the same choice again. We are involved with my husband's care, questions are welcomed and responded to promptly, and the environment is warm and welcoming. The staff is pleasant and professional. There have been difficult times as medication routine and his overall care plan were worked out, but problems are addressed and followed up. Caregivers are compassionate and respectful. Their menu is varied and food is very good. There are choices for group activities and entertainment for those who are able to participate.

Review for The Village of Tanglewood

The food is very good but the wait time has become an issue as they have less dining staff than in the past. Would be nice if they offered more outings to the arts. Also working on building maintenance is an issue. Beautiful building and typical upkeep but when something needs repair to the building g it's taking a long time such as exterior painting and fixing the garage elevator.

Clayton Oaks Review

The one thing that I can tell you is that my initials experience was incredible. [name removed] (the executive Director) handled the task of getting [name removed] (my wife) set up to be moved to the facility. My wife was coming out of the hospital due to a broken hip (but her dementia was late stage) and as it was, I was in the hospital also at the time she was to be transferred to Clayton Oaks. [name removed] went over above. She made at least two trips to visit with me prior to my discharge. Additionally she offered to go to our apartment GREATWOOD at Sugar Land) and collect some things that she would need, and she had done this two times. Additionally the fact that she was so pleasant, we were able to really connect. I have had no issues since our first encounter with Clayton Oaks, so I guess my overall rating would be a five!

Mom's Happy Place

Mom, a native Houstonian, has lived comfortably at The Villages at Tanglewood for a year now. The casual and friendly atmosphere matches how she lived in her prior home of 20 years making the transition to independent living easier. The staff are accommodating and kind. She is still mentally and physically active and what the Villages at Tanglewood do not provide, the YMCA across the street does. When my husband and I visit from Austin, we actually stay on site in one of the apartments reserved for family guests. The food is so good, we happily eat in the restaurant where the wait staff are attentive and friendly. This is a safe and happy place for Mom.

A Great Place for Moms and Dads.

All areas are 5. My mother chose not to participate in activities, but a variety was offered. I am grateful to Clayton for helping make my mother's final six months as safe, comfortable, and pleasant as possible. I would highly recommend Clayton Oaks to potential residents and their family members. My mother received compassionate care there during the last six months of her life. I believe this is the best facility in Arkansas

I placed mom in the memory care unit at Village on the Park in about 2021. It was the best experience for her. She probably spent some of her best years here. The staff fell in love with her and visa versa. I didn't have to worry about her at all, the nurses had my cell and kept me updated. She was also a block away so I saw her several times a month. But that's because I wanted too see her, not because I was concerned about her... at all. She was SO happy. I am an RN, so I would know if she isn't being treated properly. The facility provided daily activities for her, painting, movies in their theater, games... She was treated exactly the way that you would want your family member to treated. My daughter is a licensed social worker who says that VOTP is the best facility in the state of Arkansas. I fully believe that after my mothers stay there for the last 3 years. I have nothing but the best things to say about the entire facility. We never had a bad experience.
