Kensington Place is excellent! High quality, caring staff make this a top notch retirement community. It provides many activities both in-house and off-campus. The food is good (something that is important in any retirement community. Kensington provides independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The memory care capacity is limited, so plan accordingly. When my step-father needed memory-care there were no openings available (until just after I'd committed elsewhere). Kensington is the retirement community I'd want to retire to. As there are very, very few retirement communities that I'd consider, this is high praise!

Kensington Place was excellent! We had no problems there, but had an issue with my stepfather's condition. He needed memory care when memory care was full at Kensington. I strongly recommend Kensington for anyone looking for a place for an elderly loved one to live! Specifically: All members of the staff were courteous and helpful in any way possible, providing information, access, and anything else needed to make [name removed]'s stay wonderful. Many activities were available, which [name removed] availed himself to several. The food is excellent, and all staff polite, helpful, and encouraging.

Kensington offers everything Mom would love if she were placed here. From keeping her own phone number, wonderful activities, chef prepared food, laundry, pull chords, spacious apartments & studios, piano player in the main entryway , movies, transportation for grocery, shopping, and appointments. Last but not least, [Name removed] and her staff were friendly and wonderful.

Very nice and just off of I670. Prices are great and the place is very clean and nice big rooms! They even do the laundry for you every other week and clean the room, but you can always do laundry yourself in between.

My parents moved here and seem to be adjusting well. Kensington Place does a good job getting people involved and keeping track of residents. My parents enjoy the food and there is a selection.

My Mother has been at LV for 7 1/2 yrs. She has improved greatly in this time, enjoying exercise, crafts and interacting with staff and other residents. She has her spot outside to plant and care for a few tomato plants, which she can share with the others too. The staff at LV is incomparable and amazing!! Always up on things; always friendly and helpful; quick to inform me of any changes in Moms health. I can't say enough about the excellent care she receives!

My mom resided at Lutheran Village of Ashland for over 8 years before passing in August. I know that she lived at least 5 extra years because of the superior care that she received at LVA. The staff really became an extension of our family and really went that 'extra mile' to help us as mom's health deteriorated and she needed much more care!

I love starting my week at Lutheran Village of Ashland every Monday morning! The staff is always very helpful when setting up for the music therapy group session, and they consistently have a "full house" gathered for our hour together. It is a caring, relaxed atmosphere at LVA, and the residents are treated and loved like one, big family.

We saw empty 1 bedroom and studios. The common areas and activities were cheerful and appealing. Director was very pleasant and seemed very familiar w/ residents.

Older building (17 years) and more isolated from any immediate shopping community or walking neighborhood. Near Bexley and near airport. Space in general is not as light inside. Two meals a day: breakfast and supper. So apartments have a much larger kitchen space. First floor apartments have 10 ft. ceilings which make them feel more gracious. Also every apartment has a BIG storage closet and there is another storage area on the grounds. I liked the staff I talked to here, very much.

I would recommend the community. The people here are very nice and friendly. My loved one likes it here. Overall the experience has been good for us. It would be nice to see more activities on the weekend in the memory care area.

My 90-year old father and I live in Kensington Place. From the day that we toured the facility, we found it very welcoming from the staff and the residents. The community offers a wide array of activities, is clean and the dining room offers many tasty options for breakfast and dinner. We have been very pleased with the staff especially in the dining room. They are always very eager to please and always have smiles on their faces. I watch how they treat the assisted living who live there with respect and loving care! It warms my heart! I still work during the day, but my father has ample opportunities to socialize and pursue his interests while I am at work. I feel very comfortable leaving in the morning knowing if anything happened, he would be well taken care of. I highly recommend this facility!

Everything has been real good here so far. Me and my husband are still getting used to the place. They do offer quite a few things to do and we are starting to get involved. The food is real good. The community is always clean and neat.

Everyone is so friendly. Nurses, aides, kitchen and dining staff greet you each day by name. It makes you feel good to know you are recalled

My mother lived at Lutheran Village of Ashland for 5 1/2 years before she passed last October. When we were selecting which facility would suit her needs the best, Lutheran Village quickly rose to the top of our list. It turned out to be a great decision. While all of us want our loved ones to receive good care, it was critical for me since I live in Alaska and could only see my mom occasionally. Lutheran Village keep me informed of her needs and were proactive to make sure that her needs were met. In reality, they treated her like family. I thank them for taking such good care of my mother. I like this community because it is smaller and there are not as many residents as there are in other communities. I feel like having a smaller community is beneficial to the residents that are here. They have activities here like ping pong, bingo, movies and popcorn and more for the residents to do to stay busy. They even have a manicure day where they paint their fingernails for them.

I toured this community for my sister and her need. From what I saw the community looked well-kept. They do a good job with the cleanliness. The staff was friendly, and informative. All my questions were answered.
