My overall experience has been very good. The staff and residents are very friendly. When you first come in, there is a welcome committee who comes by and explains how things work. Also when you have dinner with the residents, no one sits alone. We will always make sure that everyone has someone to eat with. Our facility is clean. There are housekeepers that work very hard to keep it that way, one of the things I love about it. I believe that the residents have very good care. If we need anything someone's always there to help. They will bring packages up to your room. Any kind of help that you need is always available. This staff goes out of their way to make sure that we have fun here too. We have lots of activities. We have a calendar that we put up that gives a list of activities by day. Each resident gets a copy for themselves. You can go to Happy Hour, play bingo for prizes. There's also chair volleyball, and chair tennis which are a lot of fun, and if you don't want to be that active, you can play card games of your choice, solve puzzles or work with your creative side and create all kinds of stuff on a daily basis, or you can just sit at Scoops, our ice cream parlor, and eat delicious ice cream free. As for the food, for the most part it is good, but there are some times when it isn't. I'm sure it's going to improve. The staff goes out of the way to listen to the residents and try to resolve any issues that come up. I eat every day and I think it's pretty good. If you're looking for a place to stay I think Chesterwood is really excellent it doesn't remind me of a nursing home or anything like that even though we are all older, we enjoy each other's company and there is a lot to do. If you want to live to be 100 you have a good chance of doing it here they keep you plenty busy if you want to be. We also have plenty of exercise classes in case you eat too much.!

What we like about Barrington of Fort Thomas is that the staff are very informative and all aspects. Sit there facility. It's extremely clean. Staff and faculty is very accommodating.

I love my home away from home at Chesterwood. When you enter the building, you feel like you’re walking down a street somewhere I love that! I feel warm and cozy. The people are friendly. They make sure that you never eat alone. They make sure you feel included. The place is clean and it’s warm. Someone asked how I feel about it and what I told them is, I feel warm every day whether the sun is shining or not when I look out of the window, or walk down the hall I feel warm. Oh, and I love the Red Brick Road, a marvel idea.

Great facility. Great food. Staff does not return phone calls which has been frustrating. Information and notifications about Daily activities could be better. Overall great place for mom. It is just what she needs.

I would recommend Chesterwood Senior Living to others, as far as the independent living goes. My mom seems to like it. The people are all very friendly. She says that the food is okay, some days are better than others. The housekeeping is good. She has no complaints.

We are in the cottages and some of our neighbors tell us lots has changed since being sold last year and not for the better but we have been happy so far. Cottage size is good for us, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a small sunroom, living room, dining area and kitchen. Small porch on front and 1 car garage.

They should probably repaint the red brick road in the main building. It's gotten worn down. Minor detail, of course.

Overall the cleanliness of the community but they are going through some remodeling - that is the only issue. When it comes to the meals and dining service, this is our loved ones only issues. There could be more fresh fruit and more input from the residents living there. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families

They take great care of my Dad. Within days they knew his name by sight. They have not pushed him to participate in activities, but he is starting to explore options on his own time. We picked this community, because it was the only assisted living that would take him with thickened liquids.

We are getting settled into our cottage and beginning to meet neighbors and so far it has been very good. Glad we chose to move here because we already knew the area and so many places close that we already use.

I had a really good tour experience with Barrington of Fort Thomas. It was a very nice facility and people were out and about doing things. It just did not have that outside ambiance that I was looking for.

My mom liked Barrington of Fort Thomas the best and it was the only facility she would go to. They have done a really great job here and I would highly recommend them to others looking.

We chose Chesterwood Village because it was recommended to us by a couple of people including a friend of ours who is in the nursing home business. The room she was in for assisted living was a good size with a big bedroom and large walk in closet. We were able to move a lot of her furniture in so they were spacious. Now that they are opening up, the facility has some good amenities and activities that are provided for their residents. Overall I would highly recommend them to others who are looking.

The staff is very friendly and very supportive. They celebrated my loved ones' birthdays and they loved that. Any issues are quick and easily resolved. Communication could be better, sometimes it's hard to get ahold of someone. I would recommend this community to others

I talked to [name removed] and got a wealth of information! We will plan another time for me to visit in person, due to weather. It looks terrific. I've heard good things about the place aslo.

The staff was very accommodating and did what they needed to to help her. The care at the community was good. When we did the initial assessment, there seemed to be a disconnect with what we felt was needed and what the staff was saying they would be able to provide. We felt not enough information was exchanged to accurately gauge her needs. Having mom live in Barrington of Fort Thomas, we felt we were given the extra time we needed to get her ready for her next move to a nursing home. We felt the community was definitely worth the price. It was less expensive than a nursing home would have been. There were lots of activities available, however mom didn't always want to participate. We were very impressed with this community.

I am happy with this community for the excellent care. The staff are nice and always caring. The community is beautiful and I like knowing that she is in a safe and clean community. She is able to take care of personal care here and she likes having everything. The food is outstanding and the excellent variety is available. The staff go out of their way to make sure she is happy. I feel happy knowing that she is in a outstanding community with excellent care.

Mom fell in love with Chesterwood Village. She was excited about the large variety of activities & the level of involvement of the residents. The staff knew the names of the residents and greeted each one. The facility is very clean and offers a lot of natural light throughout. This facility will allow Mom to age in place and only add additional services as they become necessary. I have found the staff very easy to work with. At this time, we have no reservations/concerns about Chesterwood. Mom is moving in!

The people are very friendly and helpful. They really try hard to make your first few weeks enjoyable. It is hard for the new resident to adjust to a new life style. Dad has had a hard time adjusting but it has only been a month. The food is delicious and having a happy hour has been nice. It is very convenient to our home and so we can visit easily and often. Overall it has been wonderful. It is expensive but not horrible compared to others in the area.
