Care Senior Management

I like that care that is given here from the great staff. It is nice to see that she is happy with the care that she is receiving. The community is clean and she is happy with the menu of the health meals that are provided. They have her busy with the activities with the other residents. We would recommend the care and the value of this community to other families.

I was so impressed with Summerset Senior Living. Upon entering, I was struck by the beautiful elegance of the interior, and the pervading calm atmosphere. It is new and beautifully maintained. There were no odors common to senior living residences. It seemed like an upscale senior apartment complex rather than a memory unit. The staff members were friendly and happy, and it seemed like they enjoyed working there. There was an appropriate ratio, and I was impressed by the professionalism of those I met. The activity venue was incredible. Never have I seen so many residents so actively participating in a group activity. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Some of the residents were enjoying themselves too much as to be absolutely joyful! (That is my second indicator - happy residents. They offer a great recreation al program and nice grounds for walking and outside activities are offered. Summerset has TWO directors of memory care, and plenty of staff - including male caregivers. They seem to really "get" dementia, to understand problematic behaviors, and know how to deal with people at all stages of dementia journey. I feel confident I found the right home for my client, giving the family peace of mind.

All is well and has been wonderful for my mother-in-law. She is in the memory care and the community is across the street from us. It is an extremely clean and neat community. The staff are providing professional care and are helpful when needed. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need.

The staff are very friendly. Very personalized care, my father is in memory care unit. The food is okay, better than most places, but not the greatest. It's a really nice community.

Reasonably priced, relatively new, lots of activities, staff seemed to be everywhere and friendly. For a larger facility, this was my favorite and probably due to the fact that they were conducting a number of activities at the same time and that the residents seemed to be participating with gusto. It is also very close to where I live and that also factors in.

We are very happy to have her there. She is loving it! I haven't had any complaints about the food, or anything else. They are doing a great job.

When I toured Summer Assisted Living, I noticed that the rooms were very small. I did not like the community as much as I liked other ones. Also, the food was not very good. Everyone was very nice and friendly.

We toured this community and we did like the staff who were able to answer all the of the questions on the care that is given here. The other residents did not seem active, but they did have a variety of good activities offered. The mean seems appealing. The community was clean inside and out. This was nice, but not what we were looking for. We do recommend families to tour this community for the care that is offered

My Mom has passed away. She was only there for about two weeks. The place is clean and the staff seem like they were nice people. The place was nice even though my Mom only stayed a short period of time before she passed.

Overall, I think they are on target for the assisted living services. But for the memory care they do need to bring that up to par for their residents. And I think they are working on it, but they did not communicate that it was just starting up.

So far it's been good. My mother is pretty happy there so far. She hasn't had any complaints about food or anything. I would give them a four. We looked at some nice places, and one not so nice place, but this met our needs as well as our budget.

I think that they are only at about 45% capacity right now (they just opened up in September of 2014) so there are still some areas where they have to work the kinks out since it is a new facility. There is not a lot of socializing going on. It would be nice if there were more people and more activities going on, and encouragement of the residents to spend time together. Everyone there is super friendly! The kinks I mentioned will surely be worked out, I have no doubt of that. I am very pleased with Northstar Rancho Cordova.

I am very comfortable with the care that they are providing my loved one and this community. The staff have all been friendly and helpful to his needs since he made the move. He has had no complaints about the meals and enjoys participating in the activities from time to time with the other residents. Overall we are pleased and have no complaints.

The food is really good here and my loved one really enjoys it. There are some staff that make the place better and the other staff is just plain bad. They are really under staffed and need more workers to be able to take care of the residents. There is to many times that my loved one has not gotten what he needs. The community is always clean, but the individual rooms were only cleaned once a week.

This was the worst place ever for my mom's memory care and even worse they kept raising the price for "extra care" up to $[removed] a month without Ever providing any care what so ever. I bought 2 full bed mattresses for her during an 18-month period. Both were completely soaked with urine and had to be destroyed. During the pandemic I was not allowed in to see her so I had no idea she was not being cared for. She ended up in ER with a UTI and she was filthy...her hair was matted and they told me her mattress needed destroying from urine. They told me she said No... when they asked her if she wanted a shower. So they just left it at that...in the memory care unit that i was paying $[removed] a month for !!! She has severe dementia. They left her on her own with no care because she said no, thanks. Do not trust your loved ones to this place!!!

This place is poorly run. The staff is stuffy and unprofessional. They work against residence not with. They are not capable of handling aging people with mental decline. They just upgrade the residence condition until they get ALL your money and hope families will not notice.

Worst place to take Mom. Fake management and they only care about "PAYDAY", if you can find someone around who hasn't called in sick, get a lottery ticket and you have a better chance of winning. They are being investigated by State and local enforcement, be careful and watch the one you love because they won't......
