Nice place
My mother was moved to The Grande from an Illinois memory care facility because she required care not available in Illinois. Sadly she was only there 2 months before passing. But in that time we were pleased with the care provided. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. My only concern was that all the employees we encountered seemed to be temp employees or newly hired. There was no continuity with mom's daily caregivers. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility to care for your loved one.

Personalized loving care for a difficult patient
The Grande of Creve Coeur has exceeded my expectations in caring for my mom. They are firm but loving, communicate frequently and effectively, and provide excellent care for a very difficult patient. I am so thankful for all the staff. The facility is clean and well decorated. My mom also enjoys having her own room and bathroom. Highly recommend The Grande of Creve for memory care patients.

I would recommend The Grande at Creve Coeur to others. I really like that the whole building is memory care and not just a locked wing at a larger assisted living facility. The staff is always smiling, nice and welcoming. They also communicate well with my sister and I on how my dad is doing.

They staff were very kind & helpful with the admission process. The community was helpful in keeping my mom active & stimulated. Our situation was not like other residents because my mom's memory issues were related to anesthesia. During her 2 week stay her memory continued to return, so the staff were very engaging.
Improvements I know all facilities are having trouble keeping staff but additional staffing would help. There were a few times mom was afraid at night that other residents would come into her room. But again she was only there a short time.

They take good care of my loved one here
I'm happy overall with this facility. I visit daily. I know every place is having difficulties acquiring and keeping quality staff. Most of the staff have been wonderful and I know they can only do so much. I understand some of the things they have to deal with everyday, so I take that into consideration. Most of them are hard working, caring, and positive. They're very friendly to me, we know each other on a first name basis. I'm very conscious about letting the Director know about the good staff and the things that they do. I think that's important. My loved one frequently tells me that they take good care of her here and I know that they do. Again overall, I'm happy with my loved one being here and I've been very pleased with things. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Not The Best
The experience was not as great as we had hoped. The staff in charge of my loved ones care were uncaring and spent most of their shift hiding to avoid work and on their cell phone. My loved one had multiple injuries that could have been avoided if they were paying attention. The food was the same for everyone and lacked variety and appeal to those who need to keep their weight consistent. Rated a 3 because this may work for those early in the disease and can do for themselves. The administration tried but didn't seem educated and/or qualified to handle the task at hand.

This was not the right choice for our loved one. The community was undergoing some renovations when we toured. The memory care floor was up to the family's standard.

Not Great put a great front on to get you in
They gave a very good front and had a lot of potential.
They just didn't have enough staff for the amount of people that they had.
The room was not kept up clean and always filthy.
When she would eat I noticed that she would food leftover on her face from the next day.
The beds were changed over wet pads, they didn't change the pads just put sheets over the wet bedding.
Just did not fulfill to what was promised.

What a Disappointment The Sheridan
I would tell people to stay away.
The facility is nice and they have daycare and respite care for residents. My loved one was doing great when moving into respite care, and when I came back to get my loved one they were sitting in a chair with a broken shoulder.
I had to take my loved one to the emergency room. My loved one hasn't been back with me, and this was in March.
The community was sent a letter, and they never responded. They didn't even bothering to call to check on my loved one.

Wonderful Experience
Family comes first with The Sheridan. They treat the resident wonderfully. They have a lot of long hallways so it would be hard for someone with a lot of mobility issues. The room size is good. The food is fantastic. They have lovely outdoor space, covered and uncovered.

This is a good community for good care .We like that the staff and the community is new and very clean. The menu is really good and we like knowing that there is participation in the nice activites .We would highly recommend this community for the care and the value for other families and loved ones .
