The toilet had a leaking seal and wasn't fixed until I saw it ,smelled it and brought it to their attention. Also the bathroom wasn't cleaned regularly, as promised. Because of all of those things, the room smelled horrible and I had to go to Management. The move in was simple, me and a cart. The meals are fair and desserts are really good. I recommend the facility. I think that if I lived nearby and was able to visit regularly, the housekeeping issues would have been resolved earlier. They are very kind to him and keep his room in order and he is very happy because he has the ability to keep his pet with him. Mostly lovely Marshallese people. They are very caring and capable. With my father's Dementia, they need to tell him instead of ask, such as today is your shower day, not do you want a shower. Let me help you to the bathroom instead of do you need to use the restroom. The meals are good quality and there's a nice selection of choices for each meal. The activities are lacking, but the Activities Director tries hard to provide opportunities. Dad's room is usually clean, however I've been known to clean the bathroom on their off days. It is cleaned by them once a week or as needed. There has not been much need for communication, as I am here with him 4-7 days a week. I would recommend this facility to others. There are some residents who have been here 7-15 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. They are happy and very content with their care.
