If You're Looking for High Quality Senior Living, Oakmont of Westpark Should be on Your Top 3 List
Comparative to other communities in the area, this is one of the better ones. The staff is very good to work with. I'm surprised when they do get back to us so quickly, due to the demands of their job, They are willing to take the time to speak to us about our questions and concerns.
They are able to assist with daily living activities for my loved one. The dining is quite good, with a varied menu. The quality and presentation of the food is nice.

Can't Say Enough Positive Things! 10/10
Navigating the search for an assisted living facility for a loved one can be overwhelming, but our experience with Oakmont of West Park took the guesswork out of it. From the moment we toured the facility, we felt reassured by the warm atmosphere and exceptional care provided by the staff. The facility is beautifully maintained, offering a comfortable and inviting environment. Residents are actively engaged in activities, and it's clear they have positive experiences here. We couldn't be more pleased with our visit. Thank you to the team at Oakmont of West Park for making this decision easier for us.

Terrible experience!
Oakmont looks good from the outside but it is completely overpriced, mismanaged and understaffed. They continue to take in new residents who have needs beyond their staffing and so calls for help using the pendant emergency button go unanswered! Unsafe to have your loved ones here. The food is of the cheapest quality and tastes awful. Constant turnover of management, and there is no communication or consistency. They recently fired the one Recreation Director who was finally doing things right because she was spending too much money!! You will pay $8000 for a one bedroom with no additional services and it goes up every year and the services are completely lacking. They are cheap but charge exorbitant prices. Issues that are raised are never addressed, they just continue. Cannot keep staff , management, servers and care givers and are constantly understaffed. Residents are nice but they feel trapped and Mgmt takes advantage of that!

Don’t waste your money
This facility is very overpriced , [removed]/month for a 1 bedroom that goes up every year . Service is deplorable , extremely under staffed !! No response to emergency call button when there is a emergency ! Lots of Covid outbreak with horrible care while in quarantine . Five star dining is a joke ! Food is lousy , inconsistent, poor quality , badly prepared , often cold when it should be hot !
Care givers , medical staff , housekeeping completely understaffed ! Transportation unreliable . Executive Director is aloof and has no interaction with residents . She never attends town hall meetings and demands for change go unanswered ! Don’t waste your money . Marketing staff tells you all lies , don’t believe any of it . This is a true assessment of the facility !

Tour of Oakmont
We toured Oakmont of Westpark and it was absolutely lovely. We ultimately chose another community as it boiled down to cost. Oakmont also didn't have that same inviting & cozy-feel as the community we chose.

Families Beware
It's very corporate. There's no ability to work with anyone. In our case, there is no ability to change recipes to make food gluten free for my mom. If you try to get an answer, it's a corporate answer. The staff is always changing. You establish relationships, and then it changes. The staff that are there are pretty good, but the turnover is horrible. My mom is gluten free, which was a big thing in our selection process. The sales lady said no problem. She said they have a chef, and he knows everything about gluten. He'll be able to meet your needs. By day 8, my mom ended up in the hospital with seizures because she'd had so much gluten. Oakmont then told us they only manage sugar and one other dietary restriction - not gluten. I wish they would make more accommodations to make their resident's last years of life less miserable and more enjoyable. And I think it costs too much. In the beginning, I perceived the higher cost would mean a higher level of service. But now, I think it just goes to somebody's corporate pockets.
